About the brand
Berenice, the iconic French brand, has unveiled a new visual identity. Previously celebrated for its cashmere jumpers adorned with wings on the back, Berenice has undergone a transformation under the artistic direction of Natacha Basic.
The brand's new image captivates effortlessly, speaking its own language of style. Embracing a 'retro cool' aesthetic, the essence of Berenice is now encapsulated in a wardrobe that exudes its core DNA. The Berenice woman represents 'the coolest girl,' radiating sunny, carefree vibes and effortless Parisian elegance. This retro silhouette comes to life in the collections through layering, dyeing, and vintage-inspired details.
About the CEO
Natacha Basic, the new Executive and Artistic Director of Berenice, is infusing fresh energy into the brand's legacy. His bold vision is redefining the brand's identity, starting with a revamped logo: BERENICE. The logo is now in capital letters with a period, accompanied by the mantra "THE COOLEST GIRL" on the labels.
His vision transcends clothing design. The signature collections feature essential and "fair" core pieces that promote a sunny, fun, and retro-cool style. This aesthetic is characterized by precious details and an evolving sensuality. Berenice is ushering in a new era of fashion, where each piece tells a unique story and every collection invites you to dream.
Their Approach
Berenice introduces its Drop Collections, each with a unique story to tell, aligning with a more sustainable approach to prevent overproduction. The brand utilizes soft, eco-friendly materials to support its move towards the high-end market, emphasizing natural textiles such as silk, viscose, linen, and cotton gauze.
For Winter 2024, Berenice offers jackets made from Ecopel faux fur, recycled cashmere, modular suits, and a blend of materials (wool/faux fur, lace/sequin, faux leather/wool sheeting). These pieces feature innovative cut-outs and subtle details that add a distinctive twist to each garment.
Berenice is committed to transparency by highlighting the composition of its range, using many certified materials. QR codes will be attached to labels to enhance product traceability, directing customers to the e-store for more information on each piece's production. These systems are currently under development and will be operational within the next six months, including the launch of a second-hand section. By blending tradition with innovation, Berenice positions itself as an international brand, captivating customers who seek style, authenticity, and responsibility.
You will have to come in and shop our newest designer, BERENICE. We can’t wait to see you all rock the “cool girl” looks.
